Each file is 1 minute and 30 seconds long and consists of a perfect 5th sounding on the indicated tonic pitch (concert pitch given).
You can create a Tuning CD by saving each file to your computer and then burning them to a disc.
When working with these, pick the most appropriate octave for your instrument and the range within you are working.
With the file sounding as a drone, you can tune long tones or play passages from your music and work on tuning. These files work with Windows Media Player and Quicktime (and possibly RealPlayer).
Remember to un-mute and/or turn up your computer speakers in order to use this effectively.
